Oktoberfest

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the Oktoberfest, the world’s largest traditional fair took place once again on the Theresienwiese in Munich. Despite the cold and wet weather, 5.7 million guests came to the Oktoberfest fairground according to estimates by the festival management. That’s 9.5 percent less than the 6.3 million visitors in 2019. The price of beer at Oktoberfest 2022 ranged from €12.60 to €13.80, an average of 15.77 percent more than in 2019. According to the breweries, Oktoberfest guests drank a total of 5.6 million liters of beer compared to 7.3 million in 2019.
